Feed Africa Advocacy Network is happy to announce activities for the 2020 edition of our flagship programme; Farmers’ Town hall & EXPO.
The Farmers’ Town hall & EXPO is an agricultural extension initiative of Feed Africa Advocacy Network aimed at educating and enlightening farmers and value chain operators on Good Agricultural Practices, latest farming innovations and products to ensure optimum yield for crops and livestock and to also most importantly sensitize farmers on best practices to achieve pre and post-harvest quality and standards.
It is annually scheduled to hold just before commencement of the rain fed farming season.
The 2020 Farmers’ Town hall will be held across the 6 geo-political zones in the following states of; Bauchi, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Edo, Ebonyi, Oyo and Abuja.
Focus crops for the 2020 Farmers Town hall include; Sesame seed, Rice, Wheat, Soya beans, Cassava, Yam, Maize and Groundnut.
The 2019 Farmers’ Town Hall & Expo in each geo-political zone will feature training sessions for farmers on the following relevant topics;
